Legal Requirements For Marriage
Residency Required: No
Waiting Period Required: You don't need to be a resident of California to marry in California. There is no waiting period however the license is only valid for 90 days. You must contact the County Recorder's Office in the county in which the marriage occurred to get a certified copy of a marriage license.
Minimum Age without Parental Consent: 18 years of age
