Legal Requirements For Marriage
You need to contact the Ministry of National Security to obtain an application form. Start the process a month in advance. Once the application has been submitted and approved you can marry 48 hours (2 business days) after arriving in Jamaica. All documents should be originals or certified originals. As an alternative to doing it yourself wedding coordinators and many resorts offer special wedding packages which include handling all the legal details.
Residency Required: Arrive in Jamaica at least 48 hours (2 business days) before the wedding to be granted a marriage license providing prior application has been made.
Minimum Age without Parental Consent: 18 years of age
Blood Test Required: No
