Legal Requirements For MarriageYou must go in person to the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs in St. John's to apply for the marriage license. There is no waiting period. All documents should be originals or certified originals. As an alternative to doing it yourself wedding coordinators at many resorts offer special wedding packages which include handling all the legal details.
